How to make Aloo-Potato Cutlet?- Easy cooking Recipe by Anuradha Ramaswamy
Aloo Cutlet or Aloo tikki is a popular North Indian snack/chaat prepared with potatoes and other spices. It is one of the easiest snack and can be prepared in a jiffy. It is usually served hot with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
Today we will learn how to make aloo cutlet/tikki following our easy recipe with step wise pictures
Bread slices 5
Salt as per taste
Chilli powder as per taste
Garam Masala 3 pinches
Boil potatoes well, allow to cool. Peel the skin and mash well in a bowl.
Grind the bread in a mixe jar and add it to the mashed potato.
Add salt, chilli powder and Garam Masala, mix well and make a dough out of it.
Heat a tawa and spread 2 spoon of oil. Take lemon size dough and roll in-between 2 palm and press and flatten the same.
Now keep this in the tawa. Same like this make the rest of the dough. Now keep as much the tawa can occupy (leave 1″ space for each cutlet).
After 3 minutes turn over the other side and sprinkle little oil in the sides of the cutlet. Turn the other side and repeat the process till you get the golden brown color.
Remove from heat. Yummy Potato Cutlet is ready to serve. Serve this potato cutlet with green chutney or with tomato sauce.
If cutle dough sticks in hands then add little bit grinded bread and knead again
