How to prepare Palak North Indian style? Recipe by Anuradha Ramaswamy
Palak North Indian style – Palak is one of the healthiest foods in India. In this recipe we are particularly going to see about Palak North Indian style. This Palak is cooked with spinach & tempered with basic Indian spices. It is made in almost all regions of India with slight variations. This simple protein rich dish is served with plain steamed rice and Pickles.
Palak North Indian style
Ingredients
Palak 1 bunch
Onion 2
Tomato 2
Ginger 1″
Garlic 4 pods
Chilli powder 1 spoon
Turmeric 1/4 spoon
Salt as per taste
Oil 3 tablespoon
Method
Wash and cook palak and grind the same. Grind onion, garlic, ginger and tomatoes into fine paste. Now take a kadai pour oil add the onion paste and saute well. Add chilli powder, turmeric and salt, sauté till oil omits. Now add palak mix well if required add little water and boil for 5 minutes. Turn off the stove and serve with phulkha, roti or paranta
Note
Can add paneer cubes before adding palak to prepare palak paneer.
Can add 1/4 spoon of garam masala for different taste and flavor
