Carrot halwa Recipe by Anuradha Ramaswamy
Learn how to prepare one of the delicious sweet carrot halwa in a easy way.below is the steps for preparation of Carrot halwa.
Carrot 1 cup grated
Milk 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup or as per taste
Raisins and cashew for garnish
Ghee 4 tablespoon
Take a heavy bottom kadai
add 1 spoon of ghee and fry cashew and raisins, remove and keep aside.
Now pour milk and add carrot, mix well and keep it in low flame and cook.
Stir in between, when the milk reduced to half add sugar and mix well, leave it to cook in low flame.
When the halwa become tight add the fried raisin and cashew along with rest of the ghee and keep mixing.
Once all the water evaporates it will omit ghee in the edges, now remove from the flame and allow it to cool and serve. Rest of the halwa you can store up in refrigerator for a week.
Note: Can add cardamom for different taste and also you can add any flavor.
