Panjeeri is a sweet nutritious dessert, which is very good for health. it is particularly given to the mom of newly born babies to increase the Milk Secretion.
Panjeeri (Sweet) – Dessert, Mithai, Sweets Panjeeri – Panjeeri or Panjiri is a classic South Asian sweet. Panjiri is a Indian seasonal staple from the Punjab region treated as a nutritional supplement. It is made from whole-wheat flour fried in sugar and ghee, heavily laced with dried fruits and herbal gums. This delicious Indian dessert is usually given to new mothers, as an aid to lactation. It is said to increase milk supply. PANJEERI This nutritious mix is considered “the most essential” food while new mom is recovering after the birth and needs to regain her strength and energy.Learn how to make Panjiri.
Whole wheat atta 1 cup (small)
Sugar 2 – 3 spoon or as per taste
Ghee 1 tablespoon
Mixed nuts 1 – 2 spoon (optional)
(badam, pista, cashew, dry grapes, walnut)
Heat a kadai, dry roast the atta by adding ghee little by little. When we get good aroma add sugar and chopped nuts and serve as snack.
It gives heat to body if we consume this during winter
