How to prepare Rajma Masala? Recipe by Anuradha Ramaswamy
Rajma is a popular North Indian vegetarian dish. which is prepared by red kidney beans in a thick curry with spices. It can be served with Rice and Rotti. The step by step process of preparing Rajma Masala is given below:-
Rajma 1 cup
Garlic 4 pods
Rajma masala 1 spoon
Turmeric 1/4 spoon
Redchilli powder 1/2 spoon
Green chillies 2 (optional)
Salt as per taste
Oil 3 tablespoon
Coriander leaves for garnish
Soak Rajma overnight. Next day drain the water and put it in a cooker with sufficient water and give 10 whistle.
Grind onion, garlic, ginger and tomatoes into fine paste.
Pour oil in the cooker and add green chillies, grinded paste and saute for few minutes. Add turmeric, rajma masala, red chilli powder and salt, sauté till the raw smell goes and the oil omits in the corner.
Now add the cooked rajma mix well and check for the salt level and give 5 more whistles.
Allow it to cool down and open the cooker and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with rice or roti
