Rasam Powder/ Rasam Podi

Rasam is one of the famous south Indian dish,which was served each and every heavy meals. Here we are going to give the recipe of how to make Rasam Powder. With the help of this rasam powder you can make rasam anytime.

Homemade Rasam Powder|Rasam Podi recipe :- It is easy to prepare rasam powder with ingredients at home. This rasam powder can be used to make tomato rasam, lemon rasam or any other south indian rasam recipes.

Learn how to make rasam powder at home, a flavourful spice powder to make tomato rasam. Rasam is made in so many ways with almost similar ingredients, same is with rasam powder too. It is made with almost same ingredients but the the ratio might differ slightly in each recipe. Iam sharing a rasam powder recipe that you can easily customise to suit your taste or to give a flavour you like.

Ingredients for Rasam Powder|Rasam Podi

Coriander seeds                                          2 ladle

Fenugreek seeds                           less than ¼ ladle (optional)

Pepper corns                                  1 ½ ladle

Cumin seeds                                  1 ½ ladle

Red chilli                                         2 – 3

Toor dhal                                        1 ladle

Curry leaves                                   ¼ ladle (optional)

Method

1. Heat a kadai and dry roast all the above items one by one and allow it to cool and grind.
2. Store it in an air tight container and use it to make paruppu rasam.

Note

While preparing rasam add 1 chopped tomato & 1 slitted green chilli.
