This is one of the famous South Indian style fry makes a great combo with all types of main dish. Potatoes are marinated with lots of spices and stir fried. This Potato Fry is a spicy and crispy side dish for rice varieties. It is easy and simple snack .Follow the below steps
Simple Potato Fry
Ingredients
Potato 5 chopped
Red chilli 2
Turmeric less than ¼ spoon
Mustard seeds ½ spoon
Asafoetida ¼ spoon
Black gram dhal ½ spoon
Salt as per taste
Oil 3 spoon
Method
Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, black gram dhal, red chilli, turmeric, salt and potatoes, mix well. Cover and cook in low flame till it gets cooked. Keep stirring in meanwhile. Once it gets cooked turn off the stove and serve with rice.
Note
Instead of red chilli can add ½ spoon of chilli powder
