Saudi Green Card System

Saudi Arabia has many visions toward 2030. One of its main visions of 2030 is to provide Saudi Green Card to the eligible scientific professionals and investors.

“The new Green Card system will be similar to the US residence model. The Saudi government is interested in taking advantage of foreign investors and extraordinary expats,” Arab News quoted Fahd bin Jumaa, vice president of Economic Committee at the consultative body as saying.

Eligibility for Saudi Green Card :-

Fahad bin Juma, vice chairman of the Shoura Council Financial Committee, said eligibility for the green card  will be determined by a number of entities topped by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, according to Al-Watan newspaper.

He said in order to meet the eligibility criteria, applicants must possess scientific skills or professional qualities that are not abundantly available in the Kingdom, or they should be company owners who can invest in the country.

He said the availability of the card would be limited due to such criteria, and also because foreigners are able to obtain a Saudi investment license.

Saudi Green Card benefits :-

The Saudi Green Card give you the benefit of freedom to work in any company.

The Green Card give you the benefit of starting Company in your name.

The Saudi green card will also allow foreigners to own property and undertake business activities in the gulf kingdom.Other conditions include high solvency, long-term investments, realizable investment gains, compliance with Saudization rules and ability to enhance the kingdom’s economic value.

Saudi Arabia is home to over 10 million foreign workers. Let us wait for their final announcement regarding the Saudi Green card System. Let us appreciate the new Saudi Green Card System and we also hope they will add more eligible criteria to give more benefits to the millions of workers.
